Structure, function and bioengineering of non-conventional nucleic acids

We are interested in the dynamic structure of non-conventional nucleic acids, their interactions with proteins and/or small molecules, their biological functions and their applications in nanotechnology.

L'équipe est composée de:

  • Heddi Brahim (Team leader, CRCN CNRS)
  • Regairaz Marie (Assistant Professor, ENS Paris-Saclay)
  • Hartmann Brigitte (Émérite CNRS)
  • Leguillier Vincent (Phd student)
  • Avendano Avila Constanza (Phd student)

We approach our research topics with multidisciplinary approaches, including biochemical and biophysical approaches such as NMR, UV, CD, fluorescence spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, and AFM microscopy.

Research Theme

  • Structure and dynamics of non-canonical nucleic acids
  • Role of non-canonical structures in DNA replication
  • Use of non-canonical structures in nanotechnology
